Watch the ceremony of awarding 2 Moscow Art Prize laureates on VK

The award ceremony for the laureates of 2 Moscow Art Prize (2-MAP) took place in Zaryadye Park on November 30, 2021. It was held in the format of an immersive theatrical show created by director Fyodor Elyutin and Impresario team. The ceremony was attended by the Choir of Grandmothers of Moskvorechye, Nastya Opasnaya, actors of Brusnikin's Workshop, Banzay, students of GITIS, nominees and winners of 2-MAP.

In the category "Fine Arts and Architecture" the first place was taken by the duet of Moscow conceptualists Igor Makarevich and Elena Elagina with the project "Countdown". This is a retrospective exhibition, which became an occasion for the authors themselves "to look back and analyze what has been done and passed over the past thirty years". The second place went to Alexander Kutovoy with the Bulky Biceps Trying to Fly exhibition. In this project, the artist adapted antique sculptures to the sporting needs of the modern user. The third place was won by Timofey Parshchikov with the series "Sad.Ok.Super" – a project that became an attempt for the artist to reflect changes in emotional perception during quarantine.

All three winners in the Fine Arts and Architecture nomination were presented at the 2-MAP nominees' exhibition in Zaryadye.

Dmitry Danilov took the first place in the "Literature" nomination for the play "The Man from Podolsk" and other works. The second place for the novel "Pure buzz" was awarded to Andrey Gelasimov. The third prize in the nomination the jury was awarded to Ivan Shipnigov for his novel "Stream". 

The creative team Curiosity Media Lab won first place in the "Cinema" nomination with the panoramic film "Gagarin. Lieutenant of the Sky", which can be seen in mediahall 360. The second prize went to director Oksana Karas for the film "Doctor Lisa". Producer Igor Ugolnikov and the film "Podolsk Cadets" took third place.

Vladislav Tarnopolsky's "Stravinsky online" festival won the first prize in the "Music" category. The second place went to Victoria Korshunova's contemporary music performing workshop, and the third place went to the composer Nikolay Khrust for "Microsonet for soprano and ensemble with electronics on the text of the CLXXI Petrarch sonnet". 

In the "Theater" nomination, experts gave the first place to the theatrical performance "Simultaneous Play" by Anna Abalikhina (Territory festival, "Ballet Moscow" theater, MMOMA). The second prize went to Kseniya Peretrukhina's immersive sound performance "The University of Birds". Dmitry Volkostrelov's curated project "Lorem ipsum" took third place.

The Grand Prix went to Alexey Ginzburg for the implemented project of restoration of the monument of constructivism "House of Narkomfin".

The total prize fund of the award was 33,000,000 rubles. According to the regulations, the winners are awarded 3,000,000 rubles for the first place, 2,000,000 rubles for the second place, and 1,000,000 rubles for the third place. The Grand Prix is 3,000,000 rubles. Cash prizes are tax-exempt from 2021. In addition to monetary prizes, all laureates received a 2-MAP statuette in the form of a reduced copy of the sculpture "Vase of Flowers" by Igor Shelkovsky (laureate of the 1 Moscow Art Prize in the category "Fine Arts and Architecture").

In 2021, more than 800 applications were received for the award in five nominations. An expert council which has worked with them includes 30 experts in the relevant fields of contemporary art. Among them are the director of MMAM Olga Sviblova, the artistic director of Praktika theater Marina Brusnikina, the director of MMOMA Vasily Tsereteli, the deputy chairman of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation Dmitry Mozgovoy, the director of ROSIZO Olga Galaktionova, the director of Moskino Natalia Mokritskaya, composer Dmitry Kurlyandsky, theater critic Roman Dolzhansky , literary critic Mikhail Vizel, art critic Nikolay Palazhchenko, playwright Mikhail Durnenkov, music critic and composer Peter Pospelov, General Director of the Union of Composers of Russia Karina Abramyan and others.

Moscow Art Prize is a project of the Foundation for the Development of Contemporary Art (FRSI) with the support of Moscow Government, it was launched in Zaryadye Park in October 2019. In 2021, a series of events was held in the park to present the works of participants: the exhibition "2 MAP. Nominees" in the exhibition hall of Media Center were visited by thousands of attendees, large-scale art objects were installed in the open spaces of the park.
