Zaryadye announces the winners of the Kulminatsiya project

The shortlist and the names of the Kulminatsiya project winners will be announced at the ceremony. Marina Brusnikina, the artistic director of the Praktika Theater, will hand the award to the playwrights. Traditionally, three winners will receive the main prize — the author's copy of the painting “Kulminatsiya” by the artist and writer Pavel Pepperstein.

Also, based on the results of the competition, a book of the same name shortlisted plays will be published. The collection will be sent to all branches of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation with a recommendation for staging by the Chairman Alexander Kalyagin.

Before announcing the results, Dmitry Brusnikin's Workshop will present a performance based on 10 plays included in the short-list of the project.

This time, the “prologue” to the award ceremony of the fifth jubilee “Kulminatsiya” consisted of the plays that were included in the shortlists of the project in different years. The plays by Roman Kozyrchikov, Yulia Pospelova, Igor Nosovsky, Vikenty Bryz and other playwrights in a laconic and minimalist genre were read by the actors of the Brusnikin Workshop. The premieres of the readings took place from 18 to 27 January on the VKontakte page and on the park's YouTube channel – all readings are available for watching.

The Kulminatsiya modern drama award has been held since 2016 by the Foundation for the Development of Contemporary Art, Brusnikin Workshop and the Union of Theater Workers with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. In 2020, Zaryadye Park became the project partner.
