The park will represent Moscow in the final of the European architectural award The Plan Award in the Public Space nomination. For the title of the best Zaryadye will compete with 30 projects from all over the world.
The nomination introduces public spaces in different cities, squares, streets, municipal centers and places of worship. Among them: the Cloud of Luster Chapel, a unique chapel for wedding ceremonies in the city of Himeji , Japan. Or the Gongshu Intelligence Valley's Eye in Hangzhou, China, a multifunctional public building, the top of which is “soaring” in the air.
Zaryadye Park became one of five Russian architectural projects shortlisted for the award. In the Renovation nomination Moscow will be represented by the innovative Digital Business Space. Also among Russian finalists: Moscow business center Iskra-Park, the building of the city hall in the administrative and business quarter Nevskaya Ratusha in St. Petersburg and the multifunctional residential complex Brusnizin in the city of Berezovsky in Sverdlovsk region.
European Architecture Prize founded by The Plan magazine, aimed at designers, scientists and students who work in the field of architecture and construction. The jury includes world experts in this field: Winka Dubbeldam, Margherita Guccione, Valerio Paolo Mosco, Raymund Ryan, Maurizio Sabini and other architects. The prize is awarded in 22 nominations.
