For the sweethearts, the registration of marriage in an unusual place became a nice New Year's gift, both couples originally planned to get married at the Shipilovsky registry office, and after they applied for registration, they unexpectedly received an invitation to take part in a competition for a wedding in Zaryadye.

The second couple, software engineers Vadim and Elvira Zernov, were lucky to get married among tropical plants in the park's greenhouse.
“It's great here, a lot of attention and care. We have a festive mood and feel like celebrities,” said Vadim and Elvira Zernov.
Zaryadye Park, as one of the most popular places in the city, has always attracted the attention of couples. We know that there were marriage proposals on the Floating Bridge, on the scene of Large Amphitheater and even in Soaring media complex, and now couples have a truly unique opportunity, to start the history of their family by officially getting married in the most unusual locations of the park: under the snow-white arches of Ice Cave and the blossoming Florarium,” said Maria Popova, the head of the park’s Hospitality Department.
The wedding ceremonies in Zaryadye were held to find out the specifics of the venue.
“Now, for example, we know how to arrange a ceremony in below zero in Ice Cave. We have only positive emotions from the venue in the park,” said Svetlana Zharova, the head of the Shipilovsky registry office.
The Moscow Mayor's project for marriage registrations at unusual venues in the capital was launched in 2019. In the frames of the project, 12 thousand wedding ceremonies were arranged. Anyone can submit an application online or in person at the registry office, which is assigned to the selected venue, but not earlier than a year, and not later than a month before the preferred date of marriage. During the pandemic, restrictive rules apply to all ceremonies. Couples may invite maximum 5 people, masks and gloves may be removed during the registration.
