August brings the visitors of Zaryadye continuous plants flowering and warm colors reminiscent of the new season approaching.
At the end of summer, in the coastal forest area you can see the blossoming Veronicastrum virginicum, the inflorescences of which look like arrows and have a pleasant aroma. The plant can grow up to 2-2.5 meters during the flowering period, and its stems branch in the upper part, making a column-like bush.
The pink flowers of the Anemone hupehensis that have decorated the Meadow, are impossible to miss. This plant is rightfully considered to be one of the most delicate among other horticultural crops. Anemone flowers mesmerize with their dancing lightness and softness of colors.
Hyssopus painted the steppe in lilac tones. This bright plant has medicinal properties, it is used as a room fragrance and spice. Hyssopus is also called Blue Hypericum and Bee Grass.
In August near the ponds, you can see Ligularia dentata blooming. Its inflorescences are located at a height of up to 2 meters and resemble flames, therefore, sometimes the plant is called a Fire Flower. In nature, Ligularia dentata grows on mountain slopes, along river banks and on forest edges.
Simultaneously with summer flowering, the nature of the park gets autumn shades. The steppe now is gradually becoming like burnt soil which is normal in nature at this time of the year, thus the park’s staff try to preserve the natural appearance of the zone as much as possible. Due to cold nights, rose hips began to ripen ahead of time, dark red and even black berries have already appeared, and mountain ash and snowball tree are also turning red.
In the park you can also see the plants from the Red Book of Moscow. Ostrich fern grows Under the Glass Crust, in the ponds of the coastal forest zone there are common bistort and snow-white water lilies, and in the coniferous forest there is a peach-leaved bellflower.
Come to Zaryadye and enjoy the nature, take vivid pictures, but do not forget to take care of the plants, we really appreciate it!
