On August 17, shortly before World Photography Day, Zaryadye Park hosted an award ceremony for the Planet Moscow urban photography contest.
In total, over 3,500 photographs of 538 authors were sent to the contest. Photographers competed in five nominations: "Builders in Faces. Veteran builders", "Moscow and Muscovites. Comfortable City”, “City Landscape”, “Architecture of Moscow. The Connection of Times", and "Dynamics of the metropolis"
The winners received memorable prizes and diplomas. You can see the best photos in Small Amphitheater and on the Kitaygorodskaya wall. The exhibition consists of 100 photographs and is complemented by installations and art objects made in the best traditions of constructivism. All this creates the image of a modern comfortable urban environment. The exposition will last until September 1.
The winners of the “Active Citizen” project division are:
– Dmitry Zverev, work “Portrait of a metro builder. At the construction of Savelovskaya station ”(43 968 votes);
– Natalya Feoklistova, work “Three heroes” (37 755 votes);
– Elena Klimakova, work “S.V. Demidov, builder of the Volga-Don Canal, Honored Architect of the Russian Federation” (28,521 votes)
Simultaneously with voting on the Active Citizen portal, another voting was going on on the official Facebook page of the Department of Urban Development (https://www.facebook.com/DgpMos/)
. There were presented 200 photos of the semi-finalists, selected by the jury from the total number of submitted works.
The winners in the nomination "People’s Choice" on Facebook are:

– Nikolai Portnov, work “Fountain by the CSKA metro station” (195 votes)

Besides the winners’ awards, the augmented reality application “AR Planet Moscow” was first introduced at the Planet Moscow exhibition. Everyone can download it and using a phone’s camera, see the image with three-dimensional information on the device’s screen. Through the application, you can also take pictures and create publications on social networks.
