The main objectives of the ParkLab program are to create a dialogue between Russian and international parks in order to form and support Russian community of specialists in the park territories management, development and promotion, to turn Zaryadye into a global platform where leading experts can share their expertise.
As part of ParkLab program launch, Zaryadye will host an international conference dedicated to the development of modern park spaces “ParkLab. Singapore’s Practices”. By the invitation of Zaryadye Park, the experts of the world-famous Gardens by the Bay (Singapore) will hold practical presentations on key areas of activity and share their best management cases.
Gardens by the Bay in Singapore or, as they also call it, Singapore’s futuristic gardens, is one of the most famous and interesting tourist attractions of the city.
If you come to Singapore for a short time or you have a long interlining at Changi airport, feel free to go to the famous Marina Bay Sands complex and the park next to it. The Gardens by the Bay in Singapore is not only a popular tourist attraction but also a favourite park of locals, where they rest on weekends and go jogging in the morning and evening.
This huge park is located on a total area of about 100 hectares and includes two huge greenhouses the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest, 18 Supertrees at Supertree Grove, an observation deck in the form of a bridge at a height of 22 m (Skyway), a bar and a restaurant, a large playground zone for children (Children's Garden), a pavilion with cactuses, themed gardens with sculptures, a lake and a lot of tropical greenery.
An interesting fact is that despite the seemingly obvious differences between the Russian Zaryadye Park and the Singaporean Gardens by the Bay, they also have similarities. For example, in the sociocultural concept which was used as a basis in the creation of the sociocultural concept of Zaryadye Park.
On July 3, Felix Loh, Chief Executive Officer of Gardens by the Bay, will speak in the Lecture Hall of Nature Center with the presentation "Park as a Brand: Developing the Park as a National and Tourist Center”. At 20:00, he will give a public lecture "Gardens by the Bay: Modern Garden in a Modern City at the hall of Media Center”.
You will have a chance to learn how one of the most famous parks in the world was created, as well as about its unique architectural and landscape technologies. You will know how the park affects the lives of citizens and tourists, the culture and economy of the city, what is the national strategy “City in the garden” and what role the park Gardens by the Bay plays in its implementation, as well as how the park’s project differs from the original concept and what its team would like to change.
