The maps developed in the Moscow City Tourism Committee. Now they have information on how to get to the airports, use the capital's bicycle rental or car sharing system. The overview map shows the routes of Aeroexpress trains, the location of large parks and museums, including the remote areas, as well as a new cable car, opened last November.
The section of the main Moscow attractions has been updated. For example, now it says that there are natural zones of Russia recreated in Zaryadye Park. For the users convenience, each place of attraction has a short information note including its photograph and the nearest metro stations.
The most famous and popular museums of the capital are placed together. They are located not far from each other so that with the help of the map tourists can walk from one museum to another. The route includes Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, the Tretyakov Gallery, the New Tretyakov Gallery, and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.
As before, there is a scheme of the capital’s historical center with the most interesting places to visit on tourist maps: museums, squares, parks, theaters, monuments and churches. In addition, on the maps tourists can find the phone number of the contact center for guests from other cities and countries.
The maps are available in three languages: Russian in yellow, English in blue, and Chinese in red color. There are two types of maps: sheet-block of A3 format and compact folding one of A6 format.
The maps are now available at Zaryadye park, as well as at VDNH, at the ticket office of the Moscow cable car, Pushkin State Museum, Museum of Moscow and the Garage Educational Center. In the near future, the maps will be available at the informational desks “Live Communication” in Moscow metro, at the lounges of Aeroexpress, and in double-decker tourist buses.
Besides paper maps, tourists can use the electronic version. It can be downloaded here:
