From June, 7 to August, 31 two times a week free sport dance master classes will take place on the stage of the Large Amphitheatre.
Guests of the park will not only be able to master foot taping movements, but also see the performances of eminent dance masters. The attendance is free and does not require registration. 200 people can participate in the class simultaneously.
On June 7, at 5 PM the grand opening of the project will be held in Zaryadye. From 5 to 7 PM the first acrobatic rock’n’roll class will take place in the park.
The boogie-woogie class is to take place on Mondays from 5 to 7 PM, acrobatic rock’n’roll — on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 PM.
Honored Masters of Sports of Russia Ivan Yudin and Olga Sbitneva, the only active five-time world champions, are among the invited coaches.
Dance master classes are a part of the federal project “Acrobatic rock’n’roll and boogie-woogie lessons in parks”. The boogie-woogie and acrobatic rock’n’roll classes will be held not only in Moscow, but also in St. Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, Rostov-on-Don, and other cities.
Acrobatic rock’n’roll is a sport combining energetic dance and acrobatic elements. It has been developing in Russia since 1986. In 2009, the All-Russian Federation of Acrobatic Rock’n’roll was formed. In 2017, breaking and sport dance joined the federation. Now the All-Russian Federation of Dance Sport and Acrobatic Rock’n’roll promotes and develops dance sport, acrobatic rock’n’roll and other modern dances.
Boogie-woogie is a fast energetic dance with acrobatic elements. Usually performed in a pair with rhythmic jazz music. The name of the dance comes from the cognominal music style.
The first boogie-woogie competition took place in Russia in 1994. Since then, championships for the title of the best pair are held regularly in our country. The competition program in all cases includes acrobatic figures and supports, the performance of which requires athletes’ physical well-being.
