Zaryadie Park and the Dmitry Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia signed a cooperation agreement that will give rise to a new scientific and educational project dedicated to the international year of the periodic table of chemical elements.
The agreement was signed by Pavel Trekhleb, the Park Director, and Alexander Mazhuga, the Rector of the Dmitry Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.
The first event as a part of cooperation was the Open Chemical Laboratory. The scientists of the Nature Center and the representatives of the Dmitry Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia performed spectacular experiments.
150 years ago, the great Russian scientist Dmitri Mendeleev formulated the Periodic Law, which became the basis for creating the periodic table of chemical elements. Since then, science has gone far ahead; we can already determine the chemical composition of other planets and asteroids, create nanorobots from molecules, and control individual atoms. But everywhere in the world, we continue to use the periodic table for studies and new discoveries.
The eternal and future chemistry will become the main topic in the cycle of joint activities of the Park and the university.
During this year scientifiс-educational lectures of leading chemists will be held in Zaryadye Park. Participants will learn about the history of chemistry, advanced research and scientific achievements. They will also take part in master classes, chemical dictations and open chemistry laboratories.
