How does the weather on the planet form? How can we predict it? What is the difference between the professions of a meteorologist and a forecaster? Here we study atmospheric phenomena and learn to predict the weather using a barometer.
Let's talk about the temperature on Earth, find out why the seasons change, and have a look at summer and winter in different hemispheres. We will study the water cycle in nature: find out about the formation of clouds, learn about their types, talk about precipitation and learn out how rain, snow, and hail get formed. We’ll talk about atmospheric pressure and see how it affects the weather, we’ll find out how cyclones differ from anticyclones, study weather station and the instruments that help experts in weather research. In the practical part, we will make a barometer, find out how it works, and try to predict weather at home.Age: 7+
