We will tell you about the minerals that the world around us is made of, examine 10 minerals and rocks: figure their difference and how they are formed. We will talk about the properties and use of sphalerite, fluorite, sulfur, quartz. In addition, we’ll learn about crystal lattice and amorphous solid, check how atoms and molecules are organized in different substances. In the practical part, we will study crystals of amethyst, pyrite, Kamchatka sulfur and other minerals under a stereoscopic microscope.Age: 9+
