Zaryadye Underground Museum presents “Traditional Values. Faith”, the second exhibition in a series dedicated to traditional values as the foundation of human life.
Faith is the most important part of our worldview. It allows us to accept certain truths without proof and reminds us that spiritual values can be more significant than material ones. In “Traditional Values. Faith”, artists explore multiple meanings of this concept and demonstrate the profound influence it has on each of us.
The exhibition features paintings, sculptures, and contemporary art objects by artists whose work reveals various aspects of faith — not only religious faith in God, but also faith in humanity, in human abilities and potential, a child’s unconditional trust in their parents, and confidence in the creative power of labour.
Among the participating artists are Dmitry Zhilinsky, Nikolai Kolupaev, Oleg Ivashchenko, Ivan Korshunov, Tatyana Chuvasheva, Vadim Komissarov, Vladimir Migachev, Tatyana Badanina, the Doping-Pong group, Andrey Remnev, Anna Krasnaya, and sculptors Raisa Lysenina, Sergey Nekrasov, Adil Aliyev and many others.
The multimedia section of the exhibition was created in partnership with the VozDooh Museum. Artists involved in the project reinterpret the theme of faith through the language of contemporary digital art. In summer 2026, selected works from the series will be displayed on RGB Graphics media façades in Moscow and Moscow Region, including at Vnukovo International Airport. The multimedia section is curated by Stella Labuzhskaya and Irina Arnaut.
The “Traditional Values” exhibition series is a collaborative project bringing together scholars, artists, art historians, and public figures. Each exhibition is based on academic research conducted by a team of scholars from the Faculty of Political Science at Lomonosov Moscow State University, examining the significance of traditional values throughout the history of Russian civilization.
The academic advisor of the “Traditional Values” exhibition series is Sergey Perevezentsev, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
