On March 30, our park will plunge into darkness for an hour for the benefit of ecology. Zaryadie Park will be the main venue for the Earth Hour action.
The Earth Hour is an international movement that this year will be supported by 15 city parks. The goal is to draw attention to the care of the environment and the wise use of the resources of the planet. To join the action, it is enough to extinguish the light in the house from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. or attend an event in our park.
“For the second year in a row, our unique Zaryadye Park has become the main venue for the Earth Hour. As part of the event, the backlight of the Glass Crust, Media Center and Nature Center will be turned off. Festive concert will take place at the Dome pavilion," said Pavel Trekhleb, head of the park.
Moscow City Government and WWF Russia have held the Earth Hour international ecological campaign in Moscow since 2009. In 2011, the city turned off the lights on 60 buildings, in 2018 – at 1938 sites.
