“Night at the Museum” at Zaryadye will be held offline and online

14 May 2021
The theme of this year is “Museums and the Future”. Our program will start at 18:00 and will be held in two formats: offline and online. As part of the project, admission to all venues is free, but you need to register.

Night at the Museum

In the Old English Court, the participants will enjoy the excursion “The Arithmetic Revolution of Peter the Great”: you will learn the basics of navigation, remember the years of the Great geographical discoveries, study the basics of arithmetic and hear stories from the students’ life of the 18th century. The Ancient Instruments band under the conduction of Leonid Guriev will perform at the museum entrance, they will play reconstructed musical works of the era of Peter I.

In Media Center guests can visit the “pavilion of the future” COS20MOS21 in the exhibition hall. You will see “The School of Athens” inspired by the fresco of Raphael Santi, the mirror room with the records of “Pioneer” and “Voyager”, Tiktokers' reflections on space, video footage of Yuri Gagarin’s flight that could have existed, and much more.

In Underground Museum, guests can visit the first SOVRISK #onstream exhibition. The project presents works: “Studies of old masters. Velazquez. Composition 13” by Alexander Zhernoklyuev (exhibited for the first time), UserPic by Aristarkh Chernyshev and “The Ermine” by Victoria Weisbrut. Part of the exposition introduces Russian NFT art — video works by Misha Libertee (Mikhail Tsaturyan), Anomalit Kate and the Synticate art group, uploaded to blockchain platforms. This is the last weekend when you can see all of these works together in Underground Museum. We will renew the exposition next week, but one work — the winner of the audience vote at the first exhibition — will remain for two more weekends.

The premiere of the media opera “Planet Pi” based on Carlo Gozzi's play “Zobeida” will begin at 20:00 at Nature Center. This is a new format of visual art from the pioneers of the media opera genre in Russia, Iraida Yusupova and Alexander Dolgin.

From 18:00 to 22:00 on our VKontakte page, we invite you to join online broadcast. You will see discussions with museum workers, curators and art managers who will talk about the history and art development, and the artists of the Brusnikin Workshop will show the play “Stories about History” in the genre of storytelling.
