The story of one feathered family has begun in Zaryadye Park. A female mallard duck with its ducklings has settled in one of the ponds.
Mallard is the most common wild duck: this species can be found both in North Africa and on the Sea of Okhotsk. Mallard duck is the ancestor of domestic duck and its various breeds.
The ducklings are still very small, but they already know how to dive and swim. Their main food is small insects and spiders.
The Park staff kindly asks visitors not to feed the birds and not to scare them. They are not hungry, and all they need now is peace and solitude. If you watch the ducklings from the side, you can get a large portion of tender emotions and good mood!
On top of it, you can meet a sparrow family in the park. They eat plant grains and feel great, settling in the birch grove or in the steppe.
