Yarrow

(Achillea millefolium)

The pedicel of the yarrow plant is strewn with small leaves. This quality is the source of the Russian name ‘thousand-leaves’. The Latin name is derived from the mythological hero Achilles who is believed to have carried yarrow with him into battle to heal the wounds of his warriors.
