(Myosotis sylvatica)

The Latin name is a compound of two Ancient Greek words: ‘myos’ – ‘mouse’ and ‘ous’ – ‘ear’. The leaves of some species of forget-me-not have a thick fur made up of tiny hairs like on the ears of mice.
