Oriental Hellebore

(Helleborus Orientalis)

The Hellebore is a toxic plat that was used by ancient people as a cure for various ailments. Hippocrates used it as a cleansing medicine. According to a Greek legend, the priest Melampus used Hellebores to save the daughters of Proteus, the King of Argos, from madness when they imagined they were cows and went to roam in mountains and forests.
