The museum collected household items, coins, tiles and other artifacts from the 14th-early 18th centuries, discovered during archaeological excavations in the territory of old Moscow.
The main pride of the museum is a fragment of the white stone Kitaygorodskaya wall of the 16th century, preserved by archaeologists and restorers. The figure of a warrior of the 17th century in full uniform and with harquebus (antique firearm) will help imagine the look of the troops guarding the medieval white stone fortress. Sensory monitors for visually impaired visitors feature tactile exhibits with comments. On three monitors, kids can complete the quest games: "Build a fortress", "Find a treasure" and "Journey through Zaryadye".
Visiting by sessions every 20 minutes. The first session at 10:20, the last – at 19:40.
