Many people wish to change their body. The fashion industry and popular culture dictate beauty standards, including women's thinness.

In spite of the fact that the awareness of the danger of this situation has been growing lately and efforts are being made to get away from unequivocal standards of beauty, many people continue to lose weight and face health problems.

To change one’s body it’s only necessary to follow a balanced diet and do regular physical exercises, and this will only help to improve one’s health. Attempts to lose weight with the help of diets or fasting not prescribed by doctors lead to eating disorders: anorexia, bulimia and other disorders that can be lethal.

Nikita Chernov believes that eating disorders are among the deadliest mental problems. The treatment of such disorders is caused by several factors: lack of professionals involved in this particular area, lack of a brigade approach, where it is necessary to unite the forces of psychologists, psychiatrists, nutritionists, endocrinologists, and sometimes resuscitators; the presence of cultural factors of such diseases, and weak self-criticism of many patients.

Until recently, there was a question about where exactly one can go to with such problems. This year, a special Eating Disorders Clinic was open at the psychiatric hospital No.1.

Among the topics of the meeting:
- Factors causing eating disorders
- Main types of disorders
- Medicine approaches to their treatment
- Ways to detect disorders
- Prevention of disorders
