The concert "Volokolamsk Highway" was staged by the play of German playwright Heiner Muller. The inspiration of the play was the story of the same name by Alexander Beck about the victory price of the Soviet troops near Moscow in the winter of 1942.

Reference to this epic text is one more attempt to understand our uneasy and great past. Without this, it is impossible to go ahead and build the future. We suggest to look at the events of 70 years ago through the eyes of the German author.

The symphony orchestra will perform:
 1. Dmitri Shostakovich. Symphony No. 8, third part
 2. Dmitry Shostakovich. Symphony No. 5, third part
 3. Samuel Barber. Adagio for Strings
 4. Dmitri Shostakovich. Festive Overture
