The chambers of the Old English Court is one of the oldest buildings in the capital. The museum presents an updated exhibition dedicated to the life of the English merchant house on Varvarka in the 16-17th centuries and the development of relations between England and Muscovy. In the recreated interiors, guests will see copies of old books and documents, as well as the reconstruction of household items that accompanied Englishmen during their travels in Russia and in dangerous sea expeditions, that brought the two powerful countries together during the Age of Discovery.
In 2020, the collection of the museum was complemented by archaeological objects discovered at different times on the territory of Zaryadye and Kitay-Gorod. The central exhibit of the museum is a treasure of silver coins, found here during excavations. The renewed exposition will be introduced by multimedia characters.
