What is DNA?

What unites us with chamomile, fish, cat and all living organisms on the planet? Is it possible to clone mammoths and dinosaurs? What is the color of DNA? Come and learn the secrets and myths about the chain that stores all the information about us and our ancestors.
About the program:

– you will learn the structural features of DNA and the history of its discovery;
– build a DNA model and decode the genetic information on the modern genetic platform;
– extract DNA from a living organism;
– research chromosomes under a microscope with a 400 times enlargement.

Age: 14+
Children younger than a specified age are allowed on the program only when accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket.

Duration: 90 minutes.

Ticket price (without discounts): 600 rubles

When returning ticket online less than two hours before the visit time specified in it, 50% of its full cost is to be refunded. After the beginning of class, refund is not possible.

Nikita Vinogradov
Geneticist

Nikita graduated from Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. For a long time he has been studying molecular biology at Moscow research institute, over 5 years conducting science shows and educational programs in Russian and abroad. In 2014, he represented Russia as part of a team at the Science Festival in Warsaw. Nikita is a young scientist with lots of energy and vast encyclopedic knowledge, who loves to tell others about science.

Anastasia Kapusta
molecular biologist

Graduated with honors from the biological faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University, winner of the “Lomonosov” Universiade. For more than three years, she has been engaged in practical research in the field of molecular biology, participated in scientific conferences. Anastasia is passionate about science and knows how to tell about it children in an exciting way.

Elvira Dorofeeva
Genetic scientist, food technologist.

Graduated with honours from the Faculty of Technology of the Russian State Agrarian University — Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. Research areas: “Processes and Machinery of Processing Industry of Agricultural Products” and “Agronomy”. Elvira worked in the area of food products examination. Experience with children since 2016: conducting biology and genetics classes, as well as project implementation.
