Turfy Hair Grass

This beautiful grass looks great in gardens all year round, whether in summer or covered with snow. However, gardeners and cattle breeders see it as a harmful weed. Hair grass forms tussocks (grass bunches) up to 50cm (1.5ft.) tall that spoil pastures. Its nutrition value is also low. Cattle can eat it only in spring. Later, its shoots quickly stiffen and become inedible.
