Junegrass in botany is a genus of perennial herbs with narrow linear leaf blades. There are about 80 species. Traditionally this name has been given to a variety of grasses that differ from a scientific point of view, since they grow on thin stalks in prairies, for example, bent grass, fescue, and bluegrass.
