Crowned Mock Orange

(Philadelphus Coronarius)

In the Botanical Garden of St. Petersburg in the 18th century, they began testing placing different species of mock oranges on the outdoor grounds. The first species that appeared in the directory of the garden in 1793 was the Sweet Mock Orange. It grows very quickly and blooms lushly up to 30 years.
