Common lady’s mantle

(Alchemilla vulgaris)

The Latin name ‘alchemilla’ mean’s ‘alchemists’ grass’. According to legend, alchemists would try to collect water dripping onto the leaves of the lady’s mantle as an ingredient in their attempts to discover the philosopher's stone or elixir of life.
